Gabe Toth brings over 40 years of professional performance experience and 30 years of teaching expertise to students of all ages and skill levels. A highly skilled sight-reading pianist and vocal coach, Gabe has performed everywhere from churches and colleges to Broadway shows, touring companies, and cruise ships. His musical journey began early as a boys choir soloist and professional church organist at just 11 years old.
Classically trained in voice, piano, and organ, Gabe is also deeply versed in jazz and rock, with proficiency on guitar, bass, and drum kit. A graduate of the Pennsylvania Governor’s School for the Arts and Berklee College of Music, he has worked as a show band pianist, vocalist, arranger, orchestrator, and entertainer across a wide range of styles and settings.
As a teacher, Gabe specializes in quickly identifying and solving students’ biggest musical challenges. His personalized, results-driven lessons are designed to build confidence, accelerate progress, and unlock skills students often didn’t think possible. His friendly, non-intimidating teaching style—refined and proven since 1997—keeps students engaged, motivated, and excited to return each week. Gabe has taught students ranging from beginners to professional performers appearing in productions such as Newsies, A Chorus Line, Grease 2, and Game of Thrones.
Hi, I’m Gabe. I started young, studied at Berklee, and like most musicians in my early 20s, dreamed of being a rock star 🤪. The path shifted—but the results got bigger.
In 2008, I became Music Director for Matt Davenport Productions / Live On Stage. A quick stop at Centenary University turned into a sight-reading audition for Michael Blevins (A Chorus Line), launching my career in Broadway and musical theatre. I went on to co-direct over 30 productions with him and orchestrated his original musical Count to Ten, featured at the 2009 New York Musical Festival.
Along the way, I coached performers including Brian Falduto (School of Rock) and Anthony Zas (Newsies), and worked as a pianist and music director for Princess and Holland America Cruise Lines—directing and performing Adrian Zmed’s show multiple times per cruise cycle.
Not the plan—but exactly where I was meant to land.
